2024 Spring Lecture Series: Exhibiting Architecture with Alison Fisher
All are invited to the “Exhibiting Architecture” event which publicly highlights exceptional student work across IIT College of Architecture graduate architecture and landscape architecture programs. “Exhibiting Architecture” is also an opportunity to discuss the progress of newly implemented design projects and interdisciplinary activities in the graduate architecture program.
The event will kick off with a lecture by Alison Fisher, the Harold and Margot Schiff Curator of Architecture and Design at the Art Institute of Chicago. An exhibition walkthrough and informal conversation with faculty will follow.
Fisher received her master’s and post doctorate degrees from Northwestern University, and her work has been recognized with grants and awards from the Embassy of France in the United States, the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts, and the Society of Architectural Historians. Her current work includes a long-term project on the Chicago Institute of Design, research on graphic and furniture design from the 1990s, and a multimedia retrospective on American architect Bruce Goff, opening at the Art Institute in 2025.
